MAJOR jealousy problem?

ok ive been with my bf for over a year and a half. weve had a great relationship, for the most part. we hardly ever fight and when we do, we make up really quick. the only problem with the relationship is ME. i have a horrible jealousy issue. my bf has never given me a reason to not trust him or to make me think he'd cheat on me. but my jealousy seems to actually be getting worse as time goes on. i get all upset if i think i see him look at a girl or if he looks at a girl's myspace or if he talks to a girl...if he looks at a celebrity for more than a second. i know there's something wrong with me. i feel like im becoming controlling and possessive. i know i cant control him or his thoughts. what is wrong with me? help please! how do i get over this jealousy. it is taking over my life.

You have to trust him. Without trust, there is no real relationship. If he really is the guy you want to be with and you know he wants to be with you, you should respect him enough to trust him not to wander. I'm not saying this change will be immediate. Take little steps. Next time you get jealous, take a deep breath and think. You'll find that there's nothing to be jealous of, and slowly it will disappear.

OK... deep breath. Yes, you do have a problem. But at least you recognize it. You need counseling asap. And, you probably should go to couples counseling too.

okay so if he's trust worthy and never cheated on you at all in a day of your life what is the problem??!! oh i get it you was cheated on and lied to huh??!! that can bring it to you it hit home here now i don't trust love or even rely on a man because of that but just because i did it don't mean you have to!!

whatever you do, DO NOT let this jealousy show. this will drive him away. understand that it's natural for a guy to look at other women. it doesn't necessarily mean he wants to date them. i'm sure you glance at good looking guys too. it's natural. and don't worry about the celebrity part. what are the chances of him actually meeting the celebrity?? and even if he did, she would probably not give him the time of day. celebrities have so many admirers that your bf would be just one more to her. have you ever heard of a celebrity dating an average joe??

well it can be normal it like a insecurity prob u need to give him space if not that can ruin your relationship and u need to tell your self he is just talking to her i am his girl something else talk to your bestfriend or someone close to get it out your mind so u donot have it bottled up and know u are his one and only just think u problay talked to a guy friend or someone of the opposite sex would u want him to be jelous if nothing else get some counceling
